Bella and Matthew’s Wedding at Uplowman, Devon
We were contacted by Bella and Matthew when they were looking for a wedding caterer in Devon to provide a full catering service for the day and evening guests. Getting married on their family farm in mid-Devon Bella and Matthew chose to have a stunning marquee erected. We’ve extensive experience at catering in all locations include marquees.
Bella and Matthew came to meet us and together we explored their ideas, table plans, timings and guest requirements. Choosing from our extensive Wedding Collection menus we bespoked a range of options that fitted with their theme and season.
Upon arrival guests were welcomed with an array of our hand-crafted canapes followed by an extensive wedding breakfast.
A starter that always gets the guest conversation flowing was chosen and we severed sharing platters on our individual oak heart shape boards, along with fresh baked breads and Greek salad was harissa, hummus, mackerel pate and mezzi tzcki. A perfect summer main of Chicken ballotine was served to guests, filled with caramelised onion and French brie wrapped in bacon. Accompanying the main was a seasonal vegetable parcel hand-tied with a courgette ribbon. Wedding catering using fresh seasonal and locally sourced ingredients means we can adapt any of the dishes for individual guest requirements.
Dessert was equally delicious and one for the chocoholic. Bella and Matthew knew that our secret recipe Rich dark chocolate orange brownie with chocolate ganache, orange puree dots and chocolate soil was sure to be welcomed by their wedding guests, and it was! We complimented this with a summer choice of Fresh strawberry pavlova served with cream, raspberry puree dots and a raspberry dust.
Bella and Matthews 150 evening guests were also treated and an amazing wedding catering experience, we designed a cheese buffet that included a stack of local and international cheeses, English Oak, Devon Blue and Wensleydale, decorated with fresh figs, vine tomatoes, apricots, handmade Devon Catering chutney oak cakes and seeded bread sticks.
