Charlie & Sam’s Wedding near Kentisbury

Set near to Kentisbury and nestled amongst the rolling hills of Exmoor Charlie & Sam had chosen to celebrate their marriage by having their wedding reception in a stunning marquee on land near to a family home.  This was to be a summer marquee wedding surrounded by some of the most stunning landscapes that Exmoor has to offer.

Looking for a wedding caterer Charlie and Sam contacted us and requested a copy of our extensive wedding collection menus, we met soon after and started to discuss catering options for their day.  It was decided that guests would be treated to a champagne reception upon arrival accompanied by a selection of our hand-prepared luxury canapes.  To follow Charlie and Sam chose a sharing platter for starter with a choice of main and desserts for guests.

Sharing platter starters are a wedding favourite giving guests the opportunity to chat over some amazing food.  Charlie and Sam opted for an Baked Camembert sharing platter which was served on our oak hearts to the centre of each table and a French Camembert selection of tied bread sticks, fresh baked breads, sun dried tomatoes and dipping sauces.

Providing guests with choice was important to Charlie and Sam and this was reflected in the main course of the wedding breakfast with Devon Chicken Ballotine filled with caramelised onion and French brie, Local Lamb infused with garlic and rosemary or a hand prepared deep Vegetable Lasagne being offered.  All dishes were freshly prepared using the very best of local ingredients and taking into consideration individual guest requirements.

Dessert too was to give a mouth-watering choice to the wedding guests and included our handmade Chocolate & Orange Brownie that is made to a secret Devon Catering recipe, also offered was a fresh Lemon Tart topped with crème frais, fresh raspberries and white chocolate soil or our very special Dark Chocolate Profiteroles filled with a freshly whipped cream and smothered in rich chocolate sauce.  All desserts are prepared from scratch by the team at Devon Catering.
