Eleanor and Andy’s wedding at Hallsannery, Bideford

Situated just a mile outside Bideford and perched high above the banks of the River Torridge Hallsannery is an imposing manor house with stunning grounds to match. Eleanor and Andy had chosen Hallsannery to celebrate their wedding with family and friends, using the grounds to erect a magnificent marquee where we would serve the wedding breakfast. We’ve provided wedding catering at Hallsannery many times over the last few years, treating thousands of guests and to excellent catering experience.

We first met Eleanor & Andy when they were looking for a wedding caterer for their north Devon wedding, we sent them a copy of our Wedding Collections menus and together started planning the catering for their day.

The couple had chosen to start by serving canapes on the lawn complimented with Prosecco, Pimms and Elderflower and once guests had moved to the marquee Eleanor & Andy had selected a wonderful three course seated wedding breakfast.

Miniature Yorkshire Puddings
filled with Devon roast beef, crème fraiche and horseradish

served with a sweet chilli dipping sauce

Freshly prepared chicken pate served on toasted brioche

Toasted pitta with a hummus and pomegranate dressing

Bruschetta with cherry tomatoes, basil and mint
finished with olive oil

Goats cheese and pepper crostini topped with fresh asparagus tip

Wedding Breakfast – Main Course – seated waiter service

Eleanor & Andy had chosen our deep filled handmade Devon pies with the options of

Devon Beef Steak and Ale or Mushroom and Stilton
served with our creamy mash potato decorated with toasted cheese and herbs, seasonal vegetable parcel tied with a courgette ribbon and a rich gravy

Included our Cheese Stack that included a variety of local and international cheeses, complimented by fresh grapes, olives and range of chutneys, cheese biscuits, oak cakes and bread sticks.

Service was completed with freshly filtered coffee and a selection of fine teas accompanied by Amaretti biscuits.

Eleanor and Andy’s early July wedding at Hallsannery took full advantage of this beautiful historic house with the wedding catering being in the marquee on the lawns overlooking the valley, river and hills beyond.
