Jane and Richards wedding at Woolhanger Manor, north Devon

Jane and Richard contacted us when they were looking for a wedding caterer in north Devon, their chosen venue to celebrate was the stunning Woolhanger Manor.  Situated high up within the Exmoor National Park Woolhanger is an exclusive venue accessed by its own private mile long drive.  The picturesque villages of Lynton & Lynmouth are within easy reach of the manor giving it an enviable location upon the moor.

Living in Essex Jane and Richard were to plan their wedding remotely and we exchanged a lot of emails and phone calls during the planning.  To start they requested a copy of our Wedding Collection menus that provided extensive daytime and evening options for their 100+ guests.

Canapes were served upon arrival and included and extensive range from our luxury menu, including popular choices of Mini Baked Potato with sour cream and chive, Italian Olive Oil Crostini and Lemon & Dill blinis.  We followed with a hand-prepared three course wedding breakfast including vegetation catering options.

Starter of Fan of Melon with a Raspberry jus or Mini Fish cake topped with a fresh herb crust and served on a fresh leaf bed, all our wedding catering is freshly prepared exclusively for your wedding using the very best of locally sourced produce.

The three-course breakfast main included an option of Caramelized red onion, stilton and cherry tomato tart or Ballotine of Devon chicken filled with a sage and onion stuffing and wrapped in Parma ham.  Accompanying the main was a seasonal vegetable parcel held by a courgette ribbon and seasonal potatoes.

Jane and Richard chose our divine dessert of hand-baked Luxury dark chocolate brownie served with orange puree dots and dark chocolate soil.

We had great fun working with Jane and Richard on their wedding cake with a Devon theme, they wished to celebrate the special nature of the area and asked us to produce a tower of hand-baked scones served with fresh clotted cream and local strawberry jam – a perfect Devon wedding cake!

Evening catering comprised of our 6 hour slow roasted pulled pork, we use the very best quality Devon pork which gives a mouth-watering soft texture, complemented with crispy crackling, soft bakery rolls and an apple sauce made with fruit from our own orchards.
