Hearty and warming food was on the menu for Jenna & Sean’s December wedding. They had chosen the stunning Muddifords Court Country House located not far from the historic Devon city of Exeter. Muddifords is a late Georgian period country house situated in the Culm Valley and surrounded by 14 acres of gardens including ornamental lake, boat house and resident ducks.
When we met Jenna & Sean the wedding was set for December and they had decided that the catering should be warming, the natural choice from our extensive Wedding collection menus was to be a locally produced succulent Devon sausage with creamy mash – perfect for a December day.
The couple’s guests were treated to canapes upon arrival and an individually prepared three course wedding breakfast served in the main reception room at Muddifords. Accompanying the main was a starter of French Onion Tartlet served on a bed of fresh leaf greens, the tartlet was gently warmed to reflect the coolness of the December day. Our sausage and mash main is a winter wedding favourite and we source the highest quality sausages from a local producer, these combined with our own special recipe creamy mash, rich onion gravy and accompanying season vegetable parcel ensures it is a winter winner. As a caterer based in Devon sourcing the best ingredients from local producers is a top priority for us.
Dessert was selected as our handmade Dark Chocolate Brownie that is made to a secret Devon Catering recipe, topped with a ganache and served with orange puree dots and chocolate soil this is a dessert for the chocolate lover and always proves to be a big hit at weddings throughout the year.
