Paula and James’ Wedding at Tawstock Court
Set in an elevated rural position Tawstock Court is a recently refurbished wedding venue in North Devon. Steeped in history and once belonging to a wealthy local family Tawstock Court in recent years had been operated as a private school. Over the last 4 years the main house and buildings have undergone extensive renovation works and today is a first class, exclusive use wedding venue.
Paula and James had chosen Tawstock Court to hold their wedding reception and through our close links with the venue were recommended to contact us for their wedding catering. Together we explored the ideas for their day selecting and bespoking options from our Wedding Collections menus.
Guests were treated to a range of our hand-crafted canapes upon arrival and included perfectly sized Cherry tomato, mozzarella micro pizzas sprinkled with freshly grown herbs, Mini baked potatoes filled with sour cream, cherry tomatoes and decorated with fresh basil, Handmade cheese hearts topped with stilton & bacon and finished with flat leaf parsley. Paula and James have chosen a number of additional canapes too from our luxury range providing guests with choice and variety.
Wedding catering is often all about the wedding breakfast and Paula & James were keen to provide a choice to their guests with a main course that was hearty and delicious. They chose to offer Locally reared Devon turkey roasted with orange, apples and cranberries, served with a rich jus, wild sage & onion stuffing, chipolatas and a seasonal vegetable parcel tied with courgette ribbon. Also offered was the highest quality Devon Top side of beef served with a rich beef jus, handmade Yorkshire puddings and seasonal vegetable parcels. They couldn’t decide upon a potato choice so two were severed to the table for guests to self-serve and included roast and new potatoes.
A trio of our individual desserts was chosen to complete the wedding breakfast, we served individual sized Dark chocolate brownie with dark chocolate ganache and decorated with marbled chocolate triangle, Mini Eton mess of freshly whipped cream and seasonal strawberries and a Hand-prepared sticky toffee pudding topped with toffee sauce and decorated with a mixed berry puree.
Fresh locally blended tea and ground coffee accompanied the wedding breakfast.
Paula and James’ evening guests were treated to equally amazing catering with an extensive wedding buffet hand-prepared onsite by the Devon Catering team.
